Where to start???
I am my husband's wife and my
sons' mom *grin*
I started customizing dolls
about 7 years ago after surfing the web looking for free
patterns for barbie. What I came across was all these
sites where "artists" were remaking dolls into
works of art; repainting the faces, creating beautiful
outfits, doing their hair up in pretty do's, etc. I wanted
to try it... so off to the thrift shop I went, and my
creative side was born along with my first bunch of dolls.
I was then bit by the computer
gaming world, specifically Falcon 4. Under the callsign
of "Vixen" I became one of the very few female
virtual pilots on the internet... and a damn good dogfighter
if I do say so myself *grin*. Then Motor City Online came
out, and I became a virtual car mechanic/driver. When
EA decided to pull the plug on that, I changed my online
name to CanadianIce (I got tired of being hit-on all the
time) and picked up a copy of Morrowind, a fantasy role
playing game. Again the creative side of me surfaced along
with an interest in Fantasy type attire... so I started
learning how to use the computer to texture things to
use in the game. I've shared a lot of the mods I've made
online, and am still sharing those things in a forum run
by myself, Howndog my hubby, and some other great people.
Both Howndog & myself can be found hanging out there
whenever possible.
After some computer troubles,
I got the need to create something I could touch... that
wouldn't be lost in a harddrive crash. The dolls started
calling me again... and so I've come back to customizing.
Outside of dolls & computer
games, etc... I enjoy listening to Dr. Laura, looking
at Fantasy Artwork, camping, gardening, learning to "fly"
with FlyLady, and being with my husband and kids.
Are you bored yet? *grin*
